Land Acknowledgment
I, Ángela Godoy-Fernández, acknowledge the Ohlone, Rumsen, Popeloutchom, Tecuexe and Chumash peoples as the traditional land caretakers of the Salinas, Watsonville, La Esperanza, Ameca, Jalisco, and Santa Barbara land, respectively. As a researcher, educator, and a first generation graduate student with privileged access to these geographies and their knowledges, I will always pay my respects to my ancestors, elders, and relatives and relations past, present, and emerging.
